The next-generation Porsche Panamera has arrived with a refreshed look and a range of new E-Hybrid engine options.

As you’d expect from a Porsche, the new model is an evolution and aims to improve on its predecessor.

At the front, we notice new angular headlights, which incorporate the same LED technology previously unveiled on the new Porsche Cayenne. The new front bumper provides a sleeker finish, with sharper lines and more aggressive styling around the grille and air intakes.

At the rear, we also see the signature full-width LED taillights.

The Turbo E-Hybrid variant will also feature new aesthetics that are exclusive to Turbo models, including bespoke titanium coloured alloy wheels, badges and bumper inserts. Providing the Turbo variants with a unique and distinctive finish.

Depending on your configuration, the new Panamera will sit on a stunning set of 19” – 21” alloy wheels.

For the first time, E-Turbo customers have the option to upgrade to centre-locking wheels, as seen on the 911 Turbo S and GT3.

Taking influence from the evolutionary Porsche Taycan, the designers have opted to reposition the drive selector on the upper dash. In return, freeing up additional space in the centre console.

As featured on the new Porsche Macan, the Panamera has a 12.6” curved instrument cluster, which is paired with a 10.9” infotainment located in the centre console.

Passengers can benefit from the optional 10.9” touchscreen mounted above the glove compartment, creating a full-width LED screen that spans across the entire dash.

Engine & Hybrid Range

For now, only two engine options have been announced.

The entry-level Panamera and the Panamera 4 will arrive in a rear-wheel drive configuration. Drawing their power from a twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 engine, which is capable of producing 348 bhp.

Moving up, the new Turbo E-Hybrid now features an all-new hybrid system. It works in conjunction with a twin-turbo 4-litre V8 engine, producing an astonishing 671bhp!

The e-motor is now fully integrated into the PDK housing and features a higher torque rating at 950 Nm. Drawing power from a 29.4 kWh battery, it will allow up to 62 miles of pure electric driving.

The entry-level V6 engine option is capable of 0-62mph in just 5 seconds on the Panamera 4!

Upgrading to the top-level Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid will allow you to achieve 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds.

Porsche is particularly proud of the suspension improvements on the new Panamera, opting for a blend of dynamic handling and luxury ride quality.

The twin-chamber air suspension system and valve damper technology are fitted as standard on all new Porsche Panameras. It allows engineers to adjust the suspension rebound, compression and damper. Working in conjunction with the twin-chamber air-springs to maximise ride quality and performance.

Hybrid variants have the option of upgrading to the new fully active air suspension. The system has fully active dampers which house their own electric motor, allowing for variable adjustments to the internal damper pressure. As a result of this, there is zero requirement for anti-roll bars.

Porsche Panamera Verdict

The New Panamera showcases continued efforts to push the boundaries of innovation.

Porsche active ride, which is optional on turbo models, provides an unmatched range of comfort and driving dynamics. The system offers significantly higher levels of comfort, whilst maintaining the sporty driving characteristics that you would expect from a Porsche.
