The first fully electric Subaru has arrived and wow, it’s impressive!
Assisting in developing the platform, which is shared with the Lexus RZ 450e, Subaru claims it’s more than a badge-changing job. (They aren’t wrong!)
Extensive development has gone into their new “X Mode”, adjusting motors and breaking for maximum traction on difficult terrain.
Subaru is infamous for its all-wheel drive vehicles and the new Solterra has not been left behind. Utilising two electric motors, one based on each axel, featuring all-wheel drive as standard.

Trim Levels
There are only two trim levels available, the entry-level ‘Limited’ variant and the ‘Touring’ trim.
Spoiled for choice? Despite the limited trim options, both variants come with a host of driver assist and comfort features. The top level ‘Touring’ also comes with additional colour options.
Specifications
As standard, users get a heated steering wheel, heated seats, 360-degree parking camera, adaptive cruise control, a digital rear-view mirror and a heat pump that efficiently warms the battery to maximise range.
Upgrading to the Touring trim will add a panoramic sunroof, 20” alloy wheels, Harman Kardon sound system and wireless smartphone charging.

Driving Range
The entry-level model is stated to have a range of 289 miles on a single charge, while the top-level Touring trim is slightly less due to the larger wheels and additional tech, capable of a 257-mile range.
