The New Porsche Macan has arrived and is available as a fully electric SUV!
The Electric Macan will be sold alongside petrol variants until the end of 2025, at which point, the model will switch to a fully electric platform.
Porsche stated that it “lays the engineering foundations for future electric models”.
Opting for a lower centre of gravity and improved steering precision, Porsche aims to deliver a true sports car feeling.
Chassis & Exterior
It is wider, longer, and sits lower than the outgoing Macan. The model has been developed on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) chassis, which is also shared with the Audi Q6 E-Tron and the new Porsche Cayenne which is due for a 2026 release.
The Electric Macan is influenced by the positive response towards the Porsche Taycan, taking distinctive styling cues, such as the full-width rear LED strip and rectangular headlights.
Porsche has opted for a sleeker finish to the roofline, with stylish lines that lead perfectly onto the adaptive spoiler, which adjusts to manage the downforce generated.
The New Porsche Macan Interior
The interior has been revamped to match the styling of the Cayenne. A 12.6” curved instrument cluster is located behind the steering wheel and is paired with a 10.9” infotainment touchscreen in the centre console.
Passengers can benefit from the optional 10.9” touchscreen situated on the off-side, which allows them to adjust several controls and stream videos.
The gear selector has also been repositioned to a higher point, allowing space for a wireless smartphone charging pad and two separate cup holders.
Electric Driving Range & Performance
The entry-level Porsche Macan 4 Electric has a WLTP test range of 380 miles on a single charge. It delivers 402bhp and is capable of 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds!
Upgrading to the top-level Porsche Macan Turbo, the WLTP test range is 367 miles on a single charge. The lower range is a direct result of the higher performance, delivering an astonishing 630bhp and capable of 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds!
The new electric Macan Turbo will deliver an impressive 196bhp more than the current petrol Macan GTS variant.
Porche has also stated that the new Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system now operates five times faster than their current four-wheel drive system, improving both traction and power.
Orders have now begun on the new Electric Macan, with production and deliveries due later this year!
